Thanks to more than 40 years of consolidated experience in the synthetic fibers industry, the Aquafil Group has developed a system of corporate governance which is highly influenced by the fundamental values of its business. The cornerstones of the Group's strategy are a product-oriented culture, an entrepreneurial spirit, a drive for innovation and the awareness of the company's role in society.
The Aquafil Group is led by:
The Board of Directors of the parent company Aquafil Spa, whose task is to define the Group's global strategies by implementing actions for growth, launching new activities in various sectors, and implementing plans for investment, control and assessment of results.
The Management Executive Committee, which supports the Board of Directors in implementing its strategic decisions through operational interventions in industrial, logistical and commercial issues. The Committee monitors the Group's performance, the progress of projects and policies relating to safety in the workplace.

Giulio Bonazzi, Chairman and CEO of Aquafil SpA

Born in Verona in 1963, he graduated in Business Economics from the University of Venice. In 1987 he started his career, working in the family business. After a year working in the commercial and technical divisions of Aquafil, he attended a six-month training course at Horizon Carpet in the United States. In 1989 he became assistant production manager at the Arco plant, and a year later took over management of the division. Since 1991 he has also been a key figure at the Rovereto plant, where he implemented a restructuring program with the aim of rebalancing the accounts and boosting productivity. Early in 1992, he was given the task of restructuring Tessilbrenta, one of the family's businesses. He was also involved in the move to Slovenia, assisting with the acquisition of the Kranj factory. In 1994 he returned to Aquafil, working on the acquisition of Julon d.d., an enterprise which was to become a fundamental asset for the Group. Between 1995 and 1998 he held the office of General Manager at Julon, relocating with his family to Slovenia. In 1999 he returned to Italy as Vice Chairman of Aquafil, before becoming Chairman of the group in 2008. At the end of 2011, he was elected as President of CIRFS, the European Association of the man-made fiber producers.

Carlo Bonazzi, Honorary Chairman of Aquafil SpA

Born in Mantua in 1929, he founded the Aquafil Group. After attending the Classical Lyceum, he immediately started to work in his father's fabric store. Early in 1956, he and his wife Silvana opened a clothing business, producing raincoats at a factory in Verona. In 1969 he founded Aquafil, and held the position of chairman until 2008.

Born in Castel D’Ario (Mantua) in 1941, he joined Aquafil in 1973 as Sales Manager after a several years' experience at the SNIA Group in Germany. During this time, he developed the international network of the Group and led it to its position of leadership in the European BCF sector. In 1980, he became the General Manager of Aquafil and joined the Board of Directors.

Adriano Vivaldi, CFO of Aquafil SpA

Born in Riva del Garda (Trento) in 1962, after a stint at the Beretta Armi Group, he joined Aquafil in 1988, when he took over the administration of the group's subsidiaries, initially with the task of supervising both the companies in the Trentino region and later all the Italian and foreign subsidiaries. During this period he was involved in all the acquisitions, as well as in the planning of control systems. In 1998 he took over responsibility for Aquafil's Human Resources Area. In 2000, he took over the position of Group CFO, joining the Board in 2003 as Managing Director of the Administration Dept.

Mauro Moretti, Director of Aquafil SpA

Born in Perugia in 1981, he graduated in Business Administration from the Bocconi University of Milan, and in Corporate Finance from Copenhagen’s Business School. He began his career in the M&A Division of the merchant bank JP Morgan, before joining BC Partners, dividing his time between Milan and London, where he handled the sale of Galbani and the acquisition of Migros. In 2008, he joined Hutton & Collins as the company's representative in Italy, and became a member of the Board of Directors of both Aquafil and Elettra.

Rafael Torres Boulet, Director of Aquafil SpA

Born in Madrid in 1972, he graduated in European Business and Managerial Economics from the Instituto Católico de Administración y Dirección de Empresas (ICADE University, Spain) and from Reims Management School (France). He began his career as a Credit Analyst at the Chase Manhattan Bank. He then worked for four years in the European finance division at the merchant bank Merrill Lynch, before joining Spain's largest private equity group Mercapital, where he remained for two years. In 2005 he joined Hutton & Collins. Currently, he represents the investment fund on the boards of directors of Everis and Aquafil.

Attilio Annoni, General Manager of the Business Unit Engeneering Plastics

Born in 1960 in Milan, he graduated in Law at Statale, one of the University of his city, spending some periods of time at Berkley University in California. He obtained in 1987 a Master in Busineass Administration at SDA Bocconi in Milan. He entered Aquafil in 2011, after an experience of twenty years in different international chemical Groups, as Sipcam Oxon Group, Nylstar CD (Joint-venture Snia/Rhodia), and the Israeli Nilit Group. In Aquafil, he is General Manager fo the BU Engineering Plastics.

Fabrizio Calenti, General Manager

Born in Turin in 1957, he has a degree in chemical engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan. He began working for the Aquafil Group in 2003, as head of the NTF Business Unit, after gaining experience in the same sector as manager of the Radici Group. In the past he acquired important experience in Malaysia, as the General Manager of an Italo-Malaysian joint venture specializing in the production of fibers for natural plastics.

Anacleto Dal Moro, Head of the Energy & Recycling Business Unit

Born in Borso del Grappa (Treviso) in 1952, he graduated in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Padua. In 1977 he joined Montedison, where he carried out research and development in various divisions and companies of the Group. During the same period he was also responsible for production support in the sector of agricultural chemicals, detergents and semi-finished products. Between 1985 and 1999, he worked for the SNIA Group, in various positions, finally reaching the position of industrial manager with responsibility for chemical processing at the various plants in northern and central Italy. In March 2000, he joined Aquafil, where he held various positions, including leadership of caprolactam production, the generation of energy from renewable sources, and the recovery and recycling of polyamide-based materials. Currently, he is the technical manager of the Econyl project.

Edi Kraus, General Manager of Julon d.d. and Director of Aquafil SpA

Born in Trieste in 1956, he has a degree in Economic and Commerce, and attended a course in diplomatic studies at Trieste University. He began his career working for his family's travel agency, before moving to Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo), where he worked for an Italian-Zairean joint-venture company which manufactured electrical cables. In 1982, he returned to Italy and his former position within the family business. Between 1993 and 1994, he was involved in the Aquafil Group's acquisition of Julon, based in Ljubljana. In 1995, he took over the position of Chairman of the Slovenian company’s Board of Auditors before joining the Aquafil Group as a shareholder. Since 2000-2001 he has been the General Manager of Julon, Aquaset and Bulgari Filati, with responsibility for all the operations in Slovenia and Croatia.

Franco Rossi, General Manager of Aquafil USA

Born in Milan in 1959, he graduated in Business Economics from Milan's Bocconi University. He began his career in 1983, at SAR SpA, a company which operates in the synthetic fibers industry, where he rose to the position of Export Manager. Between 1987 and 1994 he worked for Zanussi Grandi Impianti, initially as Export Manager, later as Sales Manager and finally as Director of Operations of the French subsidiary. Early in 1995 he returned to SAR, to take up the position of CEO. In 1998 he joined Aquafil, moving a year later to the USA, where he helped to set up the subsidiary Aquafil USA in Cartersville (Georgia). Until 2005 he was Vice President of the Marketing & Sales Division at Aquafil USA, and was appointed President early in 2006. Since 2009 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the CRI (Carpet and Rugs Institute) of Dalton (Georgia), the trade association for textile flooring industries.
